About
The Nordic Community of Practice for Carbon Credit Markets focuses on implementing high-integrity carbon credit cooperation in practice. The project offers analysis and events to help Nordic stakeholders understand how high integrity can be ensured in practice in the Paris Agreement, voluntary and European contexts. It also provides a platform for nurturing a Nordic community of practice on high-integrity carbon credit cooperation. The project caters for a diverse range of stakeholders from governments and municipalities to business, research and civil society. It is tailored for Nordic audiences but key insights will be shared also with the international community.

This project is facilitated by the same team of carbon market experts that gathered Nordic stakeholders together under the Nordic Dialogue on Voluntary Compensation (2021-2022) to co-create the Nordic Code of Best Practice for the voluntary carbon market and organised a series of Nordic events on building capacity for best practices for the voluntary carbon market (2023-2024).

The Nordic Community of Practice for Carbon Credit Markets was created based on the requests and recommendations from Nordic stakeholders under the Nordic Dialogue and the Nordic event series.
